Black Friday In Onitsha: Fallen Fuel Tanker Ignites Massive Fire.
Scores of motorists and commuters are currently stranded on the Owerri road in Onitsha, Anambra State as firefighters battle to put out an inferno caused by a fallen petroleum products tanker. The fuel tanker which fell in the early hours of today on a broken portion of the Onitsha Owerri road exploded on impact spilling its content which ignited a fire that consumed several vehicles, with many passengers and passersby feared dead in the fire. As of a few hours ago, the gridlock caused by the accident has grounded all the vehicular movement on the Owerri road in Onitsha. Vehicles heading from Portharcourt, Aba, Owerri towards Benin, Lagos and Southwest axis and to the northern area, are stranded on that road.
