Breaking: Man Utd re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus
Cristiano Ronaldo has completed a sensational return to the Premier League with Manchester United – not Manchester City – after a whirlwind 24 hours.
Ronaldo has told Juventus he wanted to leave before the transfer window shuts on Tuesday,
Premier League champions Manchester City were being heavily linked with the five-time world player of the year after missing out on England captain Harry Kane.
But after a non-stop afternoon of updates, City pulled out of the race.
That development came after United launched a sensational bid to re-sign their former player, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinting that Ronaldo “knows we are here”.
United have now completed the re-signing of the 36-year-old, handing him a two-year contract to bring him back to Old Trafford.
