COVID-19: Cases of coronavirus hit 1million

Coronavirus cases across the world have reached one million, according to Worldometers.

The website, which is providing official updates on the COVID-19, claims a total of 1,00,800 people have been infected so far.

However, 210,200 of that number representing 21% have recovered from the disease.

The infection has spread to 204 countries and territories since the first case was recorded in Wuhan, China, in December.

The Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tedros Ghebreyesus, had predicted that one million cases of coronavirus will be recorded worldwide in few days.
