Dantata left indelible legacy — Jigawa gov
The Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, has condoled with the family and friends of the late elder statesman, businessman, and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, saying that the deceased business mogul, left an indelible legacy and shaped lives beyond northern Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hamisu Gumel.
Namadi described the late Dantata as a pillar of compassion, integrity, and generosity. “Alhaji Aminu Dantata was a pillar of compassion, integrity, and generosity—an icon of industry who devoted his life to nation-building, economic growth, and uplifting the less privileged,” he said.
The governor prayed for the Almighty’s mercy on the late Dantata’s soul. “Governor Namadi prays to Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant him Jannatul Firdaus,” the statement partly read.
However, Namadi extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the people and government of Kano State, the business community, and all Nigerians.
“Governor Namadi, on behalf of the government and people of Jigawa State, extends his heartfelt condolences,” he continued.
The late Dantata was remembered for his wisdom, simplicity, and unflinching faith. “His wisdom, simplicity, and unflinching faith inspired generations,” Namadi noted.
Dantata’s legacy will be remembered for years to come.
“He left an indelible legacy that shaped lives across Northern Nigeria and beyond,” the governor added.
The governor described the late Dantata as a moral compass and elder statesman whose voice carried weight in moments of national reflection.
“He was not only a successful entrepreneur but a moral compass and elder whose voice carried weight in moments of national reflection.
“Jigawa stands in solidarity with the rest of the nation in mourning a giant who dedicated his life to the service of humanity,” Namadi stated.
The statement concluded by reiterating the governor’s prayers for the deceased and his family.
“May Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and comfort his family and all who mourn this monumental loss.”
