Democracy Roundtable holds on June 12, as youths focus on economic development.
As Nigeria celebrates this year’s Democracy day on June 12, a non governmental organisation, Democracy Youth Roundtable Initiative is organizing an online roundtable to discuss issues of youth development.
The discussion with the theme, “Youth Development: Key to Sustainable Economic Growth and Development”, will focus on issues of governance and the need to stimulate the youth to become part of the movement to change Nigeria for the better.
According to the Executive Director Democracy Youth Roundtable Desmond Agboola, over twenty young leaders have been selected to participate in the roundtable.
Ideas from the event are expected to chart a new course for youth development in Nigeria and facilitate mentorship for the younger generation.
Desmond Agboola told signaturetv.org that reports of the discussion will be passed to representatives, legislators and other stakeholders for effective policy formulation.
Also speaking to Signaturetv.org the Dircetor Motivating African Youth MAY Ogenna Ekwubiri emphasized the role of youth as key to National Development.
Ogenna urged the youths in Nigeria and those abroad to take part in the June 12, democracy day discussion on Instagram live @democracy_youthroundtable.
The over 1,000 youth leaders, top government officials and media and entertainment executives including Chief Dele Momodu, Vinmartin Obiora Ilo CEO signaturetv.org, Emeka Ike, Ruggedman and a host of others.
