The Nigerian government has asked its officials to document and send all claims of loss, damage and discrimination suffered by Nigerians in the wake of the racism experienced in Guangzhou China, earlier this month.
The minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, disclosed this in his Twitter handle @Geoffrey Onyeama on Wednesday night.
“I have asked our officials in Guangzhou to document and send all claims of loss, damage and discrimination suffered by Nigerians,” the Nigerian foreign affairs minister tweeted.
The minister said that the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria also requested to receive such claims.
Chief Onyeama added that he received the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Zhou Pingjian, to discuss developments in relation to treatment of Nigerians in China as well as Nigeria-China relations.
