Ebonyi Guber: Philanthropist Dr. Odii, wins PDP governorship ticket
A renowned Philanthropist Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, has won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election held in the State.
The primary election held at the State PDP Secretariat Abakaliki, was conducted by officials from the
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and witnessed by security agencies.
Declaring the result before party faithfuls, the Chairman of the Electoral Panel Mr Olalekan Rotimi, said that Dr. Odii polled the highest number of valid votes totalling 349, to defeat five other contestants.
According to him, “Dr Odii got a total of 349 votes, while his closest rival Mr Christian Usulor got Nine votes, while Chief Chukwuma Nwazunku and Mr Augustine Nwazunku secured one vote each.
He opined,” I Olalekan Rotimi, having been conferred with the Powers to chair this Panel hereby declare Chief Ifeanyi Odii, winner of the Primary election”
In an acceptance speech, Dr Chukwuma Ifeanyi Odii, said he was impressed with his emergence.
“I thank the party leadership for a successful primary election and extend my appreciation to the party delegates”
