The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, commissioned a new office complex at the Enugu zonal headquarters.

In his welcome address the national Chairman of the Commission, Ola Olukoyede, said the Commission had to construct a new office complex after a fire incident burnt down the old office building and the equipment inside.

This, he explained, was in line with his commitment to ensuring that EFCC personnel work in a conducive environment like other security agencies in the world.

The Chairman said the new edifice has offices and facilities that will make work easier for members of staff including well-equipped interrogation rooms and expansive parking space.

He thanked President Bola Tinubu for his interest in using the instrument of anti-corruption to drive the economy of the country.

Governor Peter Mba of Enugu State commended the officials of EFCC and other security agencies for their efforts in bringing insecurity in the country to an end and also congratulated the staff of the Commission for their new office.

While welcoming the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, who was a special guest at the ceremony Mbah promised that the State would continue to support in ensuring that the fight against corruption and other security challenges in the State is achieved.
