In a significant political shift in Enugu State, Dennis Agbo, the House of Representatives member representing Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency, has announced his decision to defect from the Labour Party (LP) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Agbo, who recently reclaimed his mandate following a protracted legal battle with the PDP candidate, Simon Atuigwe made his intention known on ‘Full Day’, the latenight show on Signature TV.
Agbo said his decision to return to the PDP is as a result of the transformative policies of the state Governor, Peter Mbah, who, according to him, has prioritised the interest of the state above party divides.

His return which is billed for May 1 marks a notable shift in Enugu’s political landscape, following the defection of former Labour Party governorship candidate, Chijioke Edeoga, who rejoined the party in April 2025.
