ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT ENTERS INTO PARTNERSHIP WITH DENMARK TO BOOST AGRICULTURE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

The Enugu State government has entered into a partnership with the government of Denmark for the revitalization of the state agricultural sector. 

The development followed a visit by the Consul-General and Head of Trade of the People’s Republic of Denmark, Jette Bjerrum to the Government House.

The State Governor, Peter Mbah told the visitor that Enugu State is open for business and investment, and eager to foster partnerships with local and foreign investors across various sectors. 

Mbah identified agriculture as a key driver of economic growth and development, noting that the state has invested heavily in livestock production to meet local demand and export.

The governor disclosed that the cargo wing of the Akanu-Ibiam International Airport, Enugu will soon be operational to facilitate the export of farm produce and other Enugu-made products to other parts of the world. 

Jette Bjerrum who praised Governor Mbah for his innovative approach to security and development expressed Denmark’s readiness to invest in Enugu State through robust partnerships.
