EPL: Martinelli snubs Arteta after leaving Arsenal for Al Hilal

Gabriel Martinelli conspicuously left out Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta in his farewell message after joining Al Hilal.

The 25-year-old’s record £60 million move to the Saudi Pro League club was announced on Thursday.

Martinelli was pushed out of the Emirates, with Arteta preferring Christos Tzolis and Ebere Eze on the left side of attack.EPL: Martinelli snubs Arteta after leaving Arsenal for Al HilalIn a post on social media, Martinelli expressed his gratitude to everyone at Arsenal, including the security staff, media team, physios and doormen.

But there was neither a mention of Arteta nor a picture of the Spanish manager.

Martinelli wrote: “I can only thank the staff and my teammates. Thank you to the chefs, kit staff, doctors, doormen, security staff, media team, cleaning staff, physios and every single teammate who has been part of my story from 2019 until today.

“And to the fans, thank you for everything. Since my first day, you made me feel at home. Every time I stepped on the pitch, despite everything, I tried to give everything I had for this shirt. To Arsenal, thank you for believing in me and giving me the chance to show myself to the world.”
