Expert Asks FG To Review Economic Policies To Curb Hunger, Poverty
Mr. Charles Gold Nnachi, a human Development Expert has asked the federal government to review its policies and make necessary adjustments to resolve the problems of hunger and poverty hurting the masses.
Nnachi gave the advice as a guest of Signature Morning programme on Tuesday while reacting to youth demonstrations in some parts of the country.

He noted that protests were legitimate means of expressing grievances about bad governance noting that attempts by the administration to repress protests were both undemocratic and capable of worsening the situation.
“These protests push leaders to reconsider policies and address issues like economic instability, unemployment, insecurity, and corruption, which are tarnishing Nigeria’s reputation as the “Giant of Africa.”
Nnachi also pointed out that the difficult economy had forced many young Nigerians into fraudulent activities just to survive describing it as s a tragic outcome of the government’s failure to create opportunities for the country’s youth.
He said that Nigeria’s problems wee rooted in corruption and selfishness among its leaders, not a lack of time for development.
“Until these issues are tackled, the country will remain trapped in economic hardship and underdevelopment.
