Fire guts Sokoto Central Market

A large section of Sokoto Central Market has been consumed by a raging inferno.

The inferno, which cause has not been ascertained, started in the early hours of Tuesday, from the plastic ware section of the market.

Concerted efforts by a combined team of firefighters to combat the fire was futile, as gaining access into the market was a herculean task.
