Gov Mbah’s pacesetting in new infrastructure enabling ease of doing business for investors in Enugu – Hon Nwodo

Governor of Enugu State, Barr Peter Mbah, has received a huge commendation by entrepreneurs in the state over the governor’s commitment to investment in infrastructure such as road, water, security and other projects across the state which are already catalyzing investment.

Speaking on Friday with newsmen at a one-day economic and investment summit organized by a group of investors in Enugu, the Chief Executive Officer of Glorious Properties Nigeria Limited, Hon Chidera Nwodo, extolled the governor over what he described as a “deliberate and aggressive efforts” by the state governor to build new infrastructure that would attract more investors to the state.

He stressed that despite the challenges facing businesses and investments on the country due to inflation, high cost of procurement and production, Governor Mbah’s administration has been serving as an enabler for them to remain in business.

Speaking on the theme of the summit, “Inflation, Production, and Weak Currency: Prospects and Challenges”, Nwodo explained that all hope is not lost if the federal government would start rolling out incentives for local industries to produce and export their products.

The business magnate further stated that subnationals such as state governments have a huge role to play in the economic recovery process by creating enabling environment through the right infrastructure for investment.

According to him, many of them in Enugu State are still in business because of the huge investment the administration of Mbah was committing to infrastructure, security and other projects that are business-enablers.

“This is how we can also create employment and empower people around us. In Enugu, we are glad with what someone like the governor who is also an entrepreneur and business-focused investor is doing to make the state a business hub,” he said.
