Governor Buni Suspends Machina LG Chairman For Misconduct
The Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has suspended the Chairman of Machina local government council of the state Idrissa Bukar-Machina four weeks after he was elected and sworn in alongside other sixteen council chairmen.
A statement from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Baba Mallam-Wali, indicates that Bukar-Machina was suspended for acts of misconduct and insubordination.
The suspension which takes immediate effect directed him to hand over the affairs of the local government to the vice chairman pending further directives.
