Greenfield University: Emir of Zazzau Condemn Killing of Students

The Emir of Zazzau, Amb Ahmad Nuhu Bambali, has condemned the killing of Greenfield University students by their abductors, praying for Allah’s intervention to rescue those still in captivity. The Emir made this known during the 15th NTA, FRCN and VON Ramadan lecture with the theme; Challenges of Insecurity in Nigeria and solutions on Islamic perspectives, which held in Kaduna on Saturday.
Bamballi stressed that constant kidnapping and insecurity is becoming alarming in the country and especially in Kaduna
The Emir thanked NTA and FRCN management for the support they give the Zazzau Emirate Council and Zaria community.
Speaking at the event, the Guest speaker, Dr. Jabir Sani Maihula, Head of Department, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Sokoto State University, said Nigerians now live in fear, with challenges like bad governance, religious fanaticism, corruption, illegal smuggling of weapons through land and sea borders, uncontrollable population growth, poor justice system in the country and unemployment.
Maihula added that top government officials should lead by example by declaring their assest before leaving office. He urged the government to continue empowering the youths to enable them engage in small scale and medium enterprises.
This he said will reduce insecurity and help the growth of the economy.

The Director-General of Nigerian Television Authority, Yakubu Ibn Muhammad, in his remarks, prayed for a lasting solution to insecurity in the country.
