Husband Butchers Wife in Imo State. Watch video (VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED)
A man from Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Alex Nwaogu of Umugaa, Umunagbor in Amagbor Autonomous Community, has butchered his wife for not serving him food in “good time”, leaving her for dead.
Kasarachi Egbule, a mother of four children, was attacked by her husband Alex with a matchete after he had shot unsuccessfully at her two times with a gun.
The incident which took place about 1 am on the 6th of April, 2024 has left the victim battling for her life at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Owerri.

Gory pictures and videos of the victim Kasarachi, shows one of her almost severed hands dangling from her body, held only by her skin and two deep matchete cuts on her skull, face and other parts of her body.
Eye witnesses who rescued the victim and took her to hospital told SignatureTV that the husband after the dastardly attack surrendered to the police at the State CID Owerri.
Latest report from youths of the community who embarked on a peaceful demonstration Wednesday asking for the prosecution of Alex Nwogu indicate he is still being detained at the State CID.
According to Mr Lambert Uche, elder brother of the victim, “Alex was notorious for his serial abuse of Kasarachi, leading to the Traditional Ruler of the Community, HRH Eze Mike Ndudiri Orji (Dimgba 1 of Amagbor) asking our family to take our sister and her children away from their home until there was evidence that the husband had changed in his ways.
“The situation was so bad that the parents of her husband Alex, made a report to the Traditional Ruler over the way, Alex was maltreating and abusing my sister. The Traditional Ruler invited us to a meeting where Alex’s motorcycle was siezed and he was fined and asked to bring a male goat.
“Last year the young man came with members of his family to beg and gave a commitment that he will never maltreat or assault our sister again.
“Now see what this man who calls himself a husband has done to my sister. We don’t want to take laws into our hands, thats why I am calling on the Government and Human Rights people to take action quickly”.
SignatureTV contacted the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, who said he needed time to get details of the incident but was yet to respond to our enquiries.
