I promised not to return home until I become millionaire – Candy Bleakz
Rising Nigerian singer, Blessing Mariam Akiode, better known as Candy Bleakz, has revealed that after she absconded from home at the age of 16, she made a promise never to return until she became a millionaire.
The Chocolate City signee disclosed this while featured on a Television program, on Tuesday.
She said, “While leaving home, I left with a mindset that, ‘I’m leaving home to feed home.’ And I didn’t want to go back home except I’m going home with the big bags. So, I do communicate [with my family] but I did not want to go home. Because you left home for long time, for you to go back home, the siblings are there, the family, what people think, what people are seeing online; they think this person has trillions in your account. So, to go come home, I really had to like have enough bags [of money]. But I have been communicating.”
Candy Bleakz disclosed that she recently reunited with her family.
The ‘Wale’ crooner said her parents are proud of her and the profession she has chosen.
