IMO GOVT LAUNCHES ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN FOR YOUTH
The Imo government says its campaign against drug abuse and trafficking is “the best Valetine’s gift” for the state’s youth.
Ezechukwu Obonna, Special Adviser to Gov. Hope Uzodinma, stated this during his visit to Holy Trinity Secondary School Omuma and Omuma Secondary Technical School on Saturday.
The visit was part of a broader campaign targeting drug abuse and trafficking among the youth in the state.
Obonna thanked the students for attending in spite of the short notice and stressed the importance of listening to older, more experienced individuals.
He warned the students about the dangers of experimenting with drugs, particularly depressants like lexotan, he explained that experimenting with such drugs could lead to severe depression and anxiety in the future.
He cautioned that abusing the drug could lead to serious long-term consequences, including sleeping disorders.
