28th-year-old Cameroonian shot-stopper Andre Onana would be eager to end what might be a nightmarish first season at Old Trafford.
The Manchester United goalkeeper has come under heavy criticism in recent times and is also a source of ridicule by rival supporters, having played 4160 minutes in 46 matches and 14 clean sheets; Andre Onana has conceded 71goals almost double what he conceded this time last season at Inter Milan.
The argument by many United faithful is that Onana seems not to be good enough, However, it can be argued that Andre at Inter Milan over the course of 41 appearances only conceded 39 goals, in 3,720 minutes and 19 clean sheets. Could it be argued that the issue isn’t somewhat of Onana’s but on the system or set-up by coach Erik Ten Hag?
In the Premier League, 6th-place Manchester United will travel to take on 12th-place Bournemouth. A very hungry for success Mikel Arteta would play host Emery’s Villa, as Pep will be looking to get Haaland into full gear against Luton town and Jurgen Kloop will be hoping to bounce back from an embarrassing display in the Europa League.
Elsewhere, in the Bundesliga; Bayern Munich would play host to Cologne, while we have a battle of Borussias between Monchengladbach and Dortmund. Victor Boniface and Leverkusen in a bid to cement themselves as Bundesliga champions would be welcoming Werder Bremen to the Bay Arena.
In Italy, Victor Osihmen’s Napoli would play host to Frosinone, Roma travel to face Udinese, current champions Inter would hope to make a buffet for Cagliari, and Ademola Lookman’s Atalanta coming from an emphatic victory over will host Verona.
