The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have suspended their one day old industrial action called to press their demand for a new minimum wage.
The suspension followed consultations among the Labour leadership after their meeting with Federal government representatives Monday night.

TUC president Festus Osifo confirmed this in Abuja on Tuesday after a joint extraordinary national executive council meeting of the unions.
According to Osifo “A joint NEC meeting of TUC/NLC has approved to relax the industrial action for one week with immediate effect”
