Lagos Won’t Allow Repeat Of #EndSARS Destruction, Says Sanwo-Olu
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has called for caution ahead of the planned nationwide protest, saying Lagos State won’t allow a repeat of the destruction that greeted the #EndSARS demonstration.
The Lagos governor said this in an address to residents of the state on Wednesday.
Nigerian youths, irked by the prevailing economic hardship in the country, scheduled a 10-day nationwide protest to commence on Thursday, August 1. Security agencies, however, had issued security alerts, urging the organisers of the protest to shelve the plan.
