Leadership Expert Urges Coordinated Action To Tackle insecurity In Nigeria
A Leadership expert Ben Etiaba has emphasized the urgent need for a coordinated effort among leaders to address the growing insecurity in Nigeria.
Speaking during a weekend breakfast show on Signature TV, Etiaba expressed concern about the apparent negligence by security stakeholders which has allowed armed individuals to roam freely around the country without check.
He identified economic hardship as a key driver of insecurity, arguing that individuals who are gainfully employed and financially stable are less likely to resort to criminal activities such as kidnapping and violence.
Etiaba who noted that every incident of killing poses a direct threat to national security commended the governor and the Emir of Kano for taking decisive action by urging his people not to retaliate over the recent killing of Northern hunters in Uromi in Edo state.
Etiaba urged other leaders across the country to follow suit, stressing the importance of meaningful engagement and collaboration among leaders to foster peace and unity.
