Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai Commissions New Military Police Office Block in Abuja

The Chief of Army Staff ,Lt Gen Tukur Buratai says the Nigerian Army can only attain a high professional standing if it emphasizes discipline and regimentation.

He emphasized that a disciplined and regimented army will discharge its constitutional duties effectively.

The Army Chief spoke in Abuja on Tuesday while commissioning the headquarters building of the Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police.
While welcoming the Chief of Army Staff, the Acting Provost Marshal, Gen H. Ahmed thanked the Chief of Staff for providing the resources for the completion of the new headquarters of the corps of the Nigerian military police.

 

The provost marshal said the complex was earlier designed as a one storey building with 22 offices and a conference room. It was however remodeled to accommodate 54 offices, 3 large conference halls, a library, 4 interrogation rooms and viewing areas. The redesigned building also has a forensic laboratory, a car park, quarter guard, access control post, the commandant’s office, a black room for investigations and a canteen.

He assured the chief of staff that the new building would be used to achieve his vision of a professional and responsive Nigerian army for the protection of the nation and enforcement of law and order.

The provost marshal however asked for the intervention of the chief of staff to improve the conditions of the school of legal services in Zaria.
