May 29: Gbagyi People Supports Inauguration of Tinubu
Five days to the inauguration of Nigeria’s next President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, members of the Gbagyi ethnic nationality say they are fully in support of the May 29th inauguration.
The convener of the group, Cesnabmihilo Dorothy Nuhu-Aken’ova stated this in Abuja at Gbagyi Day at Unity Fountain, the venue of the Tinubu Hangout organized by the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) in Abuja.
The peace-loving and hospitable Gbagyi people of Nigeria and the diaspora, and the Gbagyi indigenes and most especially, residents of the Federal Capital Territory, I congratulate our Most Highly Esteemed President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his amiable Vice, Kashim Shettima for winning the 2023 Presidential elections clean and fair. she said.
“We convened this Gbagyi Day to counter the narrative and unequivocally dissociate ourselves from some sore losers who have taken to the courts claiming to represent the residents of the FCT in a suit to halt the inauguration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.’ She said
Dorothy added that the Gbagyis, who are a significant population co-hosting the FCT and also constitute a significant residential population within the FCT, have come to openly express our total solidarity with the President-Elect and the incoming administration.
In his remarks, the Convener of the Tinubu hangout, Tosin Adeyanju said, “Director General of the Tinubu Support Group, Honourable James Faleke directed him and his team to convene the hangout in support of the victory of the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“we will continue this solidarity hangout until the eve of the handing-over ceremony,” he said.
Politicians, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and supporters among others were present at the Tinubu’s Hangout in Abuja.
