Zelensky Praises Ukrainian courage In Independence Day Address
President Volodymyr Zelensky marked Ukraine’s Independence Day on Sunday (August 24) with a video address praising his people’s courage amid the war.
Speaking in a video message filmed on Kyiv’s central Maidan square, Zelensky said Ukraine’s partners recognised his country as “a strong ally” in Europe and beyond.
He added that Ukraine would secure peace through “strong” security guarantees.
