The weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting is holding at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, with President, Muhammadu Buhari presiding.
The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, cabinet ministers as well as the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd.), and the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Abba Kyari, are also attending the meeting.
However, on entering the council chambers, Monguno first sat two seats away from Kyari. But, he later moved closer to Kyari, after the CoS beckoned on him to move closer to his seat, leaving only one seat in between the two.
The seat in between the two is for the Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Folasade Yemi-Esan.
Retd. Major General Monguno did not attend a briefing of the service chiefs last week’, {although unconfirmed report said he was out of the country on official assignment} coming just days after a memo he wrote complaining that Kyari interfered with security decisions, was leaked online.
The FEC meeting holds every Wednesday.
