The Nigerian Navy has put smiles on the faces of the people of Ebonyi State with the cheery news of its intention to establish a Naval Secondary School in Izzi Local Government Area of the State.
The Director of Naval Transformation, Rear Admiral Michael Oamen disclosed this when he visited Governor Francis Nwifuru at the Government House, Abakaliki.
Oamen told the Governor that the visit was to seek collaboration in the establishment of a Naval presence in the state.
He commended the Ebonyi State Government for its giant strides in Education and its openness and hospitality.
Responding , Governor Nwifuru thanked the Navy for bringing tne project to tne state while also appealing for the establishment of a Naval University so that ethics imbibed in the Secondary School may not be eroded.
He urged the Navy to hasten action in the commencement of academic activities in the school assuring of the support and cooperation of the host community and the Ebonyi State Government.
