Dasuki Arabi, The Director General Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPRS), said Nigerians must be ready for change, to either flow with the trend or be left behind. He said this during a seminar for Integrity Icon Nigeria (ICN) .ICN is a program organized by the Accountability Lab Nigeria (AL Nigeria) which seeks to recognize officers in the public service who stand against corruption
Arabi also applauded Accountability Lab for organizing such programs stressing that officers in the public service should be accountable.
Also speaking at the event, the Chairman Independent Corrupt Practices Commission ICPC Bolaji Owasanoye who was represented by Hassan Salihu commended AL Nigeria for the programs saying the multiplication of such programs will encourage uprightness among ordinary Nigerians and also encourage Public and Civil Servants to be professional and accountable. He further enjoined participants to pay attention, listen and learn so they can play the role expected of them in the society
While delivering a lecture on “The National Ethics and Integrity Policy (NEIP)”
Ese Okwong said NEIP is a policy developed by the ICPC aimed at enhancing value and integrity in Nigeria to strengthen positive national transformation, reach national goals and encourage citizens to stand out for integrity.
She noted the seven core values of the policy as Human Dignity, Voice and Participation, Patriotism, Personal Responsibility, Integrity, National Unity and Professionalism.
The seminar which is scheduled to last for 2days had it’s first session today with Integrity Icons from 2020 in attendance sharing their experience.
