Northern Security Advocacy Group Urges Military Authorities, To Retain AVM Mikail Abdulkareem
The Northern Security Advocacy Group, has called on the Military authorities to retain Air Vice Marshal Mikail Abdulraheem as Chairman, Military Pensions Board to enable him to complete ongoing legacy projects at the Board.
In a statement signed by its Speaker, Comrade Jonathan Onoja Isaac, Northern Security Advocacy Group, (NSAG) commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for appointing capable hands to pilot the affairs of the Armed Forces.
The group noted that since AVM Abdulraheem assumed office, he has restored transparency, reforms, and dignity to the Military Pensions Board.
AVM Abdulraheem is a member of the 42 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy and has served the Nigerian Air Force with distinction for nearly three decades. He has extensive experience in organizational leadership, fiscal administration, and strategic planning positions him to enhance pension management and strengthen welfare systems for veterans.
Most significantly, he has commenced 3 critical projects:
1 Construction of Staff Quarters at MPB Headquarters – now at an advanced stage
2 Digitization of Pension Records
3 Cultural Reorientation of MPB
The statement said changing leadership at this stage will risk delay and waste of resources. The man who laid the foundation should be allowed to handover the keys.
NSAG therefore urged the authorities to retain AVM Abdulraheem to complete the legacy.
