NSE. Guaranty Trust bank, Zenith and Access bank shed prices, as Equity Capitalization gained N28.76 Million

Trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday witnessed a small rise of Twenty –Eight Point Seven-Six Million Naira on the market capitalization, after a Nine Point Five-Six Billion Naira gain on Monday.

On Monday, the equity capitalization rose to Twenty Point Five-Seven   Trillion naira from Twenty Point Five-Six Trillion naira traded on Friday, a Nine Point Five-Six Billion Naira gain.

On Tuesday, it therefore rose by Twenty-Eight Million with the All Share Index closing at Thirty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred and Eighteen Point Five –Seven Points. This was a zero point four percent rise from Thirty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred and Eighteen Point Five- Seven points at close on Monday.

Apart from Equity capitalization and the All Share Index that closed blue, other market indicators, the value, the volume and the total number of deals closed in the negative.

The volume of traded stocks plunged to One Hundred and Fifty-Three Point Five Million from Three Hundred and Twenty-Nine Point Seven Million that was previously traded.

The value similarly fell to One Point Two Billion Naira from Two Billion Naira traded on Monday.

 On activity chat, GUARANTY TRUST BANK traded the highest worth of shares, recording Four Hundred and Sixty-Nine Point Four Million worth of shares.

ACCESS, ZENITH and FIDELITY also traded high value of shares.

PRESTIGE ASSURANCE COMPANY was the top advancer, with its share price rising to Forty-Six Kobo from Forty-Two Kobo traded on Monday.

WEMA BANK followed with a Five Kobo rise in its share price. It closed at Sixty-Two Kobo from Fifty-Seven Kobo previously traded.

Other top gainers include ROYAL EXCHANGE PLC, CHAMPION BREWERIES AND REGENCY ALLIANCE INSURANCE PLC

On the loser’s side, CONSOLIDATED HALL MARK INSUTRANCE was on top, having a Three Kobo fall on its share price. Its share price closed at Thirty Kobo from Thirty-Three Kobo it stood on Monday.

UPL LTD, CHAMS PLC and HONEY WELL FLOUR MILL PLC were other top losers.
