NSE: Investors gained N124.8 billion on Thursday

After a five consecutive losing streak by the Nigerian Stock Exchange last week, the floor bounced back to gaining path this week.

At the close of business on Thursday, Investors gained one hundred and twenty-four point eight billion naira.

The market capital rose from twenty-one point nine trillion naira on Wednesday to twenty -two trillion on Thursday.

As a result, the All Share Index closed at forty-two thousand, one hundred and sixty-nine point four-one points, a shift from forty-one thousand, nine hundred and thirty point seven -three points..

The volume of transacted stocks rose to five hundred and fifty -five point three million from five hundred and forty-three point five million traded on Wednesday.

The value however, fell from seven-point three billion naira to five point seven billion.

On the activity chat, twenty- nine gainers and twenty -two loser were recorded at the close of trading.

WAPCO shares was the most traded. It traded twenty-three point five million share in a four hundred and sixty-four deals.

ZENITH BANK followed, having four hundred and forty-one deals with a volume of thirty-five point two million shares.

JULIUS BERGER was the top gainers among other twenty-nine other gainers on the floor, while ACADEMY was on top among the losers. #
