NSE: On Friday, Investors closed the week with a loss of N154.66 Billion.

Trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed negative on Friday, as investors lost One Hundred and Fifty-Four Point Six-Six Billion naira.

The market also closed negative Thursday which made investors to lose over Sixty-Five Point Eight Billion naira.

on Friday, the equity capitalization fell to Twenty Point Eight Trillion Naira from Twenty Point Nine Seven Trillion Traded On Thursday. This Was a One Hundred and Fifty-Four Point Six-Six Billion naira.

As a result, the All Share Index closed at Thirty-Nine Thousand, Seven Hundred and Ninety-Nine Point Eight –Nine Points from Forty Thousand, Ninety-Five Point For- Nine Points, a Zero Point Seven Four percent.

The total stocks traded on the floor were Five Hundred Seven Point Two-Five shares, valued at Two Point Four Billion naira.

Seventeen gainers and Twenty-Four losers were recorded.

Fall in the share prices of ZENITH BANK and GUARANTY TRUST BANK triggered the loss on the floor, as they traded high volume of shares. They also dominated the activity chart

LASSACO INSURRANCE was the top gainer. Other top gainers include, MUTUAL BENEFIT INSURANCE PLC, COURTVILLE and OANDO.

 

On the other hand, WEMA BANK led the losers, with CHAMPION BREWERIES and SUNU INSURANCE PLC following behind.
