NSE: Equity Capitalization sheds N122.46 Billion naira on Thursday

Investors on Thursday lost One Hundred and Twenty-Two Point Four-Six Billion nairas, as the All  Share Index closed in the negative.

Market capitalization fell to Twenty Point Two Billion Naira from Twenty Point Three-Six Trillion traded on Wednesday, a One Hundred and Twenty-Two Point Four-Six-Billion-naira loss.

Consequently, The All Share Index points dipped to Thirty-Eight Thousand, Six Hundred and Ninety-Seven Point One-Seven points, from Thirty-Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred and Thirty-One Point Two Five, a Zero Point Six percent fall.

One hundred and Sixty-Nine Point Three Five shares exchanged hands on the floor, valued at Two Point One Billion naira, in a One Thousand Five Hundred and Sixty-Eight deals.

However, the market sentiment measured in breadth closed blue, recording Twenty-Tree gainers against only eleven laggards.

SMART PRODUCTS NIGERIA  was the top gained Two kobo or Ten percent on its share price to top the gainers chart. Other top gainers include, INTERNATIONAL BREWERIES, CHAMPION BREWERIES and ROYAL EXCHANGE PLC.

however,  AFRICAN ALLIANCE  INSURANCE PLC and MUTUAL BENEFIT ASSURANCE shed eight point Three-Three percent and Seven point One-Four percent to dominate the loser’s chart.

The loss was driven by loss on the capitalized stocks of DANGOTE CEMENT, ZENITH BANK UBA.

Zenith bank had four hundred and thirty-one deals to top the activity chart.
