NSE: Investors gained N16.69 Billion, Market sentiment measured by market breadth closed blue

Trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchanged began this week with Sixteen Point Six-Nine Billion naira gain.

Market capitalization rose from Twenty Point Five-Nine Trillion Naira to Twenty Point Six -Nine Trillion, a Sixteen Point Six-Nine Billion naira gain.

As a result, the All Share Index closed at Thirty-Nine Thousand Three Hundred and Ninety-Six Point Five –Seven points, an upward shift from Thirty-Nine Thousand Three Hundred and Thirty-One Point Six-One points, a Zero Point One-Seven percent rise.

Apart from the market capitalization and the All Share Index that closed blue, other indices however closed in the negative.

The volume of traded stocks fell from Five Hundred and Eighty-Seven Point Seven Million to Two Hundred and Ninety-Seven Point Two –Six Million.

The value also crashed to Three Point One-Five Billion naira from Thirteen Point Six Million traded on Friday. This was a Ten Point Four-Six-Billion-naira reduction.

ZENITH BANK was the delight of investors. It traded over Sixty-Six Point Four-Nine Million Shares, valued at One Point Six-Six Billion naira, in a Nine Hundred and Ninety-Eight deals.

The bulls led the floor as the Market sentiment, measured by market breadth was positive, with Twenty-Five gainers and Fourteen decliners.

LINK ASSURANCE PLC and ARDOVA PLC were the highest gainers among the Twenty-Five gainers with Ten percent increase in their share prices. Other top gainers include, CHAMPION BREWERIES, OANDO and MORISON.

However, MEYER APPAREL PLC was the top loser, shedding Five Kobo from its share price. The share price opened at Fifty Kobo and closed at Forty-Five kobo, a Ten percent fall.

LIVESTOCK FEEDS, SCOA NIGERIAN PLC and IKEJA HOTEL were other top losers.
