NSE: Investors lost N39.535 billion, as ASI closed in the Negative.

Transaction begins on the floor of the Nigerian stock Exchange on Monday with a negative note, as investor lost thirty-nine point five-three five billion naira.

The equity capitalization fell to twenty-one point four-nine trillion naira from twenty-one point five three trillion naira traded on Friday.  This was thirty-nine point five-three-five billion naira or zero point one-eight percent loss.

As a result, the All Share Index fell to forty-one thousand, eighty-two point three –eight points from Forty-One Thousand, One Hundred and Seven -Six Point One-Four points, a zero point two-three Percent fall.

The values also plunged four point one-seven –two billion naira from Six Point Three-Nine-Six Billion, a three point four- seven percent fall.

However, the volume rose from Six Hundred and Sixty-Six Point Six Point Six, to seven hundred and thirty-eight point five –two-four million. This was a ten point seven –eight percent rise.

On the activity side, there were thirty gainers and twenty-two losers.

CADBURY was the top gainer at the close of business while JAPAUL GOLD plc led the twenty two  losers.

On the performance side, JAPAUL GOLD equity was the most traded trading ninety-two point three- six one million shares, valued at one forty-five point seven million naira.
