NSE: MRS Oil Nigeria, Vita Foam and CHAMS share prices rose, as Investors Gained N94.3 Billion

A rise in the share prices of MRS Oil Nigeria, Vita Foam, CHAMS Plc and 14 other companies triggered a notable gain by the investors on Monday’s trading section following a boost in transactions recorded last week.
The Equity Capitalization which closed at N19.94 Trillion on Friday, gained N94. 3 Billion to close at N20.034 Trillion. This punished the All Share Index to close upward at 38,437.88 points from 38, 256.95 point it closed on Friday.

However, the Market sentiment was dominated by the bears, having 23 bearish transactions and 17 bullish deals. The bears were led by Royal Exchange Plc with Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc and Neimeth International Pharmaceutical Plc following.

Royal Exchange Plc recorded an 8 kobo fall in its share price closing at 73 kobo from 81 kobo it traded on Friday. Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc and Neimeth International Pharmaceutical Plc lost a 7 kobo and 16 kobo on their share prices respectively.
On the other hands, the bullish chart was topped by MRS Oil Nigeria with a N1.1 gain on its share price, which closed at N11.5 from N12.6 it traded previously, with 16 other recording not more than N2 gain on their share prices.
The positive impact on Monday’s trading was also boosted by transactions in the capitalized stocks of Zenith bank, SEPLAT Petroleum, Nestle and Dangote Cement who recorded high value of turnover.

Zenith recorded a turnover of N481.177 Million with SEPLAT Petroleum having N298.524 Million while Nestle and Dangote Cement recorded N200.773 and N144.654 Million respectively.
Zenith bank was also the investor delight with about 317 deals, while Guaranty Trust Bank and Access Bank were the next with 244 and 224 transactions respectively.
