The value of stocks plunged on Friday at the close of trading on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange, after an impressive run on Thursday.
The value of stocks dropped by N1.390 billion, a 21% fall from the N6,619,323,528 billion on Thursday to N5,229,086,440.73 on Friday.
The volume of stocks however rose to 637,494,737 from 430,121,026, a 48.21% increase, with the total deal increasing to 6,354.00 from 4,319.00 as at Thursday.
The All Share Index also went up from 30738.94 to 31,016.17, a 0.90% increase.

DANGOTE CEMENT gained 5.5 naira per share to become the top gainer among 42 gainers. Its share price rose from 169 naira to 174.5, a 3.25% rise.
GUARANTY TRUST BANK followed with a 1.2 naira per share increase, with its share price rising to 33.5 naira from 32.3 traded on Thursday.
PRESCO and DANGOTE SUGAR were the other top gainers.
However, BUA CEMENT led other 11 losers on the chart.
Also FLOURMILL lost 4 kobo, closing at 27.2 and MANSARD PLC share price plunged from 2.2 naira to 2, an 18.18% loss.
NEM, OANDO and PRESTIGE were the other losers.
