NUJ Chairman Obinna Ogbuka Pledges Member Welfare As Top Priority
A new chairman has emerged in the Enugu State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in the person of Obinna Ogbuka.
Speaking shortly after his election on Saturday, Ogbuka vowed to prioritize the welfare of members during his tenure.
Ogbuka promised to deliver an impactful leadership, foster unity and drive reforms within the union.
In a gesture of reconciliation, Ogbuka extended a hand of fellowship to all members of the union, urging them to join hands in building the NUJ to an enviable height.
Ogbuka’s emergence follows a fiercely contested election that saw his Restoration Team triumph over the Right Path Movement, led by the immediate past chairman, Sam Udekwe, who sought to return to office before he withdrew from the contest days to the election.
