The Commissioner for Youth and Sports and the Chairman NYSC State Governing Board Hon. Manfred Nzekwe had advised Batch B Stream 1 Corps Members to observe covid-19 protocols in the orientation camp throughout the duration of the orientation course.
Nzekwe gave this advice in his address at the Swearing-In ceremony of 2020 Batch “B” Stream 1 Corps
Members on Monday, November 16, 2020. He further advised them to remain in camp during the three weeks Orientation Course and participate actively in all the designated programs especially The Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Training.
Hon. Nzekwe also encouraged them to maintain discipline and honesty in the camp as they are representing their families, states, and alma mater, in order not to tarnish the image of the group they represent.
He appreciated God Almighty for his protection despite all the challenges of the COVID -19 pandemic which
affected the socio-economic activities of so many nations, as well as violence resulting from the aftermath of ENDSARS protest.
He finally appreciated the effort of the Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his effort in renovating and upgrading the orientation camp to meet up with the expected standard.
