Obi’s Supporters Go Merd, Begin Mass Mobilization
As the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC begins the nationwide voter registration, supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, say the 2023 election did not reflect Nigeria’s Voter population.
Regretting the low voter turnout, they have begun the process of mass mobilization to get more Nigerians to register for the 2027 election and create the condition for higher voter participation.
The national coordinator of the Obidients movement,Tanko Yunusa has explained that the mass mobilization by the movement for the voter registration wm will complement the efforts of the INEC and will take place will take place in all the states and wards of the federation.
Tanko said that the obidient movement remains an integral part of Labour Party and would use its over 1.5 million vote defenders as party agents in the 2027 election.
The Obidient movement says it has not broken any law nor undermined rules for election campaign but rather is carrying out a responsibility of civic education and voter registration to make the 2027 election register more citizen participation so that its outcome will reflect the will of the people.
