Ondo 2020: PDP begins accreditation of delegates for primary
Over 2,000 delegates have converged on the centre for the accreditation after which voting will commence to choose the PDP governorship candidate for the election.
No fewer than eight aspirants are jostling for the ticket of the party ahead of the governorship election in the state.
The aspirants include the incumbent deputy governor Agboola Ajayi who decamped from the All Progressives Congress, APC, a few weeks ago as well as a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Ogun State, Eyitayo Jegede.
The ruling APC in the state concluded its own primary election in the early hours of Tuesday, where the governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, polled over 2000 votes to beat other contestants who alleged that the exercise was skewed.
