Ondo cleric regains freedom from abductors
Kidnapped Chief Imam of the Uso Community in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Alhaji Ibrahim Oyinlade, has been freed.
Oyinlade was kidnapped along the Owo-Akure Expressway on Saturday and gained his freedom on Sunday evening.
It was gathered that Oyinlade was working on his farm when hoodlums invaded the premises and took him away.
A family member of the victim disclosed that the abductors demanded N10m ransom for his release.
However, the family member did not state whether the ransom was paid before the cleric was released.
“Though the abductors contacted the family in the morning today (Sunday) and demanded N10m, but to God be the glory, he was set free this evening.”
