Oyo State has directed civil and public officers who are indisposed to stay off work.
The government also restricted ‘unnecessary’ movement of officers from one office to another within any of the Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs).
A circular by the Permanent Secretary (Service Matters), on behalf of the Head of Service, Mrs. Ololade Agboola, said no worker should also entertain visitors at any of the government offices.
The circular “Covid-19: Directive for civil/public servants”, reads: “I am directed to refer to the Coronavirus pandemic and decisive/deliberate measures deployed by the government.
“The government has advised civil/public servants to adhere strictly to the followings -restrict unnecessary movement of officers within offices, discourage entertainment of visitors in all government offices; security personnel at the secretariat gates are mandated to deny visitors entrance into the premises; only essential visitors on government business with evidence should be allowed in.
