The United States President, Joe Biden has vowed to defend Israel over threats of attack from Iran.

Addressing journalists, Biden warned Iran against attacking Israel and warned that Iran will not be allowed to succeed against Israel.

Biden said the US is devoted to the defence and support of Israel.

Asked about his message to Iran in the wake of the threat, Biden said he wouldn’t be able to reveal secure information, adding that his expectation was that an attack could come “sooner, rather than later.”

A US intelligence reports says Iran is planning to attack Israel in the next 24 to 48 hours but sources say no final decision has been taken on the planned attack which are being discussed by Iran’s top leadership.

The strike plans are said to be in front of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and that he is still weighing the political risk of such an attack.
