Residents of Oturkpo in Benue State have taken to the streets to express their anger over what they call the rising cases of killings and kidnappings in the area.
The demonstrators who chanted various songs, blocked major roads, demanding urgent action from the government and security agencies to address the growing insecurity.
They lamented the frequent attacks, describing them as a “constant occurrence which have made them unsafe in their homes.

The protest, which has drawn a large crowd, follows a series of deadly attacks in the area which have forced many to flee their homes, while those who remain live in constant fear.
