The Chairman of Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State, Philemon Kingoli, who was kidnapped on the 6th of April on the Peter Odili Road of Port Harcourt, has regained freedom eight days after being held hostage.
The spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni confirming his rescue, said the victim had been taken to the hospital for medical attention and released to reunite with his family.
Omoni recalled that the Commissioner of Police, Friday Eboka, had directed all the tactical commanders to move in immediately to ensure Kingoli’s release, adding that the directives received top compliance.
