Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has reaffirmed commitment to strengthening collaboration with development partners in alleviating the sufferings of the needy amidst the current economic hardship.
The Governor made the remarks while flagging off the distribution of Ramadan welfare package to three thousand four hundred and fifty vulnerable households in the state donated by Secour Islamic France.
The donation of Ramadan welfare package by a faith organization, Secour Islamic France to three thousand four hundred and fifty vulnerable households in Zamfara was to provide relief for the beneficiaries amidst the current economic hardship and the Humanitarian crises occassioned by the prevailing security challenges in the state.
The package contains rice, maize, beans, sugar, groundnut oil, salt, dates and onion.
Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal represented by the State Commissioner for Humanitarian and Relief Matters Salisu Musa Tsafe who flagged off the exercise in Gusau commended the organization for the support while reiterating commitment to strengthening collaboration with partners for the rapid development of the state.

Zamfara State Programme Manager of the organization Amina Muhammad Bala said the beneficiaries were drawn from across four local government areas in the state.
Some beneficiaries of the gesture who are full of excitement said the said the assistance will go along way in providing socour to them especially in this holy month of Ramadan.
The non Governmental organization has been extending various humanitarian support to the needy across Zamfara state.
