Thugs invade Oji River Local Government hqtrs, disrupt meeting of Traditional Rulers
Thugs Friday morning invaded the Oji River Local Government headquarters and disrupted the monthly meeting of the Oji River Traditional Rulers Council.
The thugs who were allegedly procured by the former Chairman of the Traditional Rulers Council Igwe Godwin Madu who was removed on Thursday was led by a notorious thug and Youth Leader of Mbogu Kingdom Obinna Onwualarude aka Obi Adada and an SSA to Governor Ugwuanyi, Kingsley Chuka Eze aka Akpati.
The thugs assaulted the Royal Fathers, stole money and valuables including phones and jewelry belonging to them and took away official documents being used for the meeting.
Signature TV learnt that matters got out of hand when Igwe Madi discovered that those 19 Traditional Rulers who passed a Vote of No Confidence on him and removed him from office Thursday were meeting in a different location in the Local Government Headquarters while he and his three loyalists, Igwe Chima Achiekwe, Igwe Dr Nzekwe and Igwe Agbada Inyi were in another hall waiting for their monthly meeting to start.

It was at this point that Igwe Madu angrily drove out of the premises and came back with thugs who swooped on their unsuspecting colleagues
While the assault was going on, eye witnesses told Signature TV that Igwe Madu specifically ordered the thugs to forcefully bring the Secretary of the Traditional Council, Igwe C N Nwajagu, to him.
They said it was in an effort to carry out his instructions that the thugs manhandled the Royal Father from Agbada Akpugoeze, injuring him and tearing his robes.
The eye witnesses said the traditional Ruler was so beaten that he was rushed to a hospital in Oji.
