Tinubu Departs Nigeria For Saudi Arabia Thursday To ‘Pray’ For Nigeria
President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja on Thursday for Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to perform Umrah, an Islamic spiritual exercise involving a pilgrimage to the Holy City.
A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga said the visit will give Tinubu an opportunity for spiritual reflection, devotion, and prayers for the nation’s peace, unity, stability, and continued progress.
Onanuga stated that while in Makkah, the President would perform the religious rites associated with Umrah, seeking Allah’s guidance and blessings for Nigeria and its people.
President Tinubu inaugurated some equipment acquired by the Nigerian Air Force for its operations at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, before leaving Abuja.
The President is expected back in the country next week upon the completion of the spiritual exercise.
